The Glasgow Zen group was established in 1990 and practices within the Soto Zen tradition. We are an independent group of practitioners endeavouring to take a constructive part in the on going reception of Zen in the West. We aim to foster links with other Zen groups in the UK, and to participate positively in the wider Buddhist community in Britain.

We meet meet regularly for zazen, which you are welcome to attend (see further details). We also organise longer events and also attend sesshins (intensive practice periods) in other parts of the UK (see details of upcoming events). The group maintains a library within Rokpa House which contains a wide variety of books on Zen and related subjects.
